What is the rule on Owning qbs? In years past I ended up with two starting qbs mid-way through the season and had to drop one. Is this still a rule?

So apparently your good to go. I thought there was more to the rule then that previously.

I just bring this up because teams like Carolina and Atlanta don’t have a starter I believe.

I have a starting qb but he was injured.. I thought he would play and my gamble didn’t pay off. My question is can a person who already has a starting qb who has a bye this week pick up a starting qb for a bye week fill in (what CIN is doing)

I did it last year with no penalty. I started Brian Hoyer while Cutler was injured and Rodgers had a bye.

Yup. Exactly. Like Jordan said, we have allowed that the past two years.

But the rule clearly says if you have a starting qb you can’t bid on another starting qb.

During the regular season, a General Manager may not bid on a starting QB if his team currently has a starting QB (determined by Rotoworld Depth Charts at that time) on their roster.

Also qoute coming from you chris last year “Hey bud, just wanted to let you know, Trey (LA) is on a warpath about teams with two starters this week. So we may need you to move one of them (same thing for JAX/IND, so you're not alone).” so I’m not throwing you under the bus or anything I’m just trying to get a clear cut answer here. Cause the guy that had the other Chicago qb didn’t set his line up and had EJ manual or whoever it was from the raiders on his bench and I know they announced right after that Chicago game they were switch qbs and he should have known and didn’t make the switch I think that switch would have won him the game as well. So I’m just asking. I wanna make it fair to all party’s

Cutler was still listed as the starter when I picked up Hoyer. So it would depend on whether or not Hogan or Kizer is listed as the starter on Rotoworld, correct?

Well here's the thing Charlie, at least in this situation, Hogan hasn't yet been named the starter in any official capacity, and is still listed as 2nd string per Rotoworld, which is the way the rule is written. So even if we applied the rule that we haven't been enforcing, that wouldn't violate that rule. And we've always treated Week 1 differently than mid-season to protect owners from being forced to drop or trade players for them being one-week starters due to injury or temporary benching. That wouldn't make for a good fantasy environment. People would be having to drop and sign players all the time on that basis. Which is why we don't do that. As for ATL last week, he still only had one starter by your definition (Manuel), as Glennon was benched. But the bigger issue is that he didn't start his one starter last week. That's the concerning part

And Kizer was as of the time of bidding, as well as is currently. So even if we do enforce that rule for the first time since I've been an LM, it doesn't even apply to those transactions.
