So alot discussion went on why OAK could not get anything better than a 3rd pick for Witten. Phil posts who would pay more than that for him I wouldn't. The trade was approved and now we have a trade for the same Jason Witten, who is now worth a 1st round pick. We have two approvals so what is Jason Witten worth?? Why didn't OAK get an offer from the NYJ?? Why would the NYJ pay a 1st rd pick when we were told he is only worth a 3rd rd pick and nobody would pay more. So if he is worth a 1st rd pick now why wasn't the 3rd pick trade vetoed? If he is only worth a 3rd pick why wouldn't this trade be vetoed? I am having a problem on who to believe and I think the TRC is having a problem figuring out what is Witten's worth a 3rd rd pick or 1st rd pick.

Would i make that trade ? Maybe not but i think i personally over value picks. Its really subjective. For one how valuable is a 1st round draft pick a year out? In my opinion its about as valuable as a 2nd rounder this year so its essentially that plus a 1st this season (even engram) for jeffrey and witten. So the question for me becomes do i think alson is more valuable then engram . To me yes definity. The contract situations make it closer but i would definity rather have alshon. So add in low2-3rd round value for witten and i really dont see it as a bad trade on paper at all. Just my 2 cents

This trade isn't Jeffery for Engram then Witten for a 1st rd pick. The trade is for Jeffery who is a top 20 overall Dynasty player for Engram + 2018 1st, which I'm expecting to be a late round pick next season. Is Jeffery more valuable then Engram? Absolutely by a long shot even with his contract. Is Jeffery More valuable then Engram + a projected late 1st next year? Depends on who you ask. NYJ needed a productive TE so Witten was added to the deal. Witten's value hasn't changed, so to say this trade is Witten for a 1st rd pick is wrong..

The way the Trc is handling the value of picks is way too inconsistent. My trade with nyj was vetoed because their belief, only about a month ago, was that this pick was a top ten pick. Nyj has not done much since then to change the roster and look how different it is viewed now. Ironically enough, Carolina voted to veto my trade for this pick and now he is saying it will be a late pick when he is trading for it. If he felt it would be a late pick in my deal he vetoed then he never should have vetoed. So which is it Justin(CAR)? Too high of a pick in my deal that required your veto, or a late pick now that you trade for it?

Lmao. Your trade was literally just trading later 1sts for earlier 1sts . I dont see how the trades bare any resemblance.

Your point is ridicules. In no world does trading earlier picks for later picks make any sense. It was an easy veto on that trade and i didnt even vote. This trade really hinges on where you see jeffreys value more then anything. Is jeffrey on that contract worth more then engram on his projected contract? If the answer is yes (and i think it is) i dont see how this trade gets vetoed besides trc running scared because some one has their panties in a bunch and feels like ranting on our boards. And if thats the case thats a problem imo. Guys need thicker skins.

Again, you are not seeing the point. But just keep talking and making different points and dismiss what I said. Talk louder and more aggressive to show everyone you are right. Good discussion.

Lets see where anyone said they thought this pick would be a top 10 and not just earlier then yours? I know that wasnt my belief and again i didnt vote but would definity have vetoed that trade

Im also curious as to how you can gauge the volume and aggressiveness of my thoughts as you read my posts lol I don't think you will take my answer very seriously, since you ended with lol. But here are just a few reasons I feel that way when I read your comments: the tone, vocabulary and the juvenile and dismissive use of lol and lmfao. If you want to discuss this part of the conversation further PM me.

Just because there are 2 parts to the trade on each side doesn't mean they should be considered equal. Jeffery is worth around 1.5 1sts (or 2 late 1sts) to me, seems that Witten was a throw-in to get a deal done to me.

Ah ic so using lol or lmao is childish in your opinion so that means im talking loudly..ok. the only childish behaviour i see is from the guy who tried to put one over on another owner about a month ago and who is obviously still feeling the butt hurt from the trc for stepping in and doing their job.
In my opinon the trc is doing its job just fine . That said i dont mind at all having owners makes posts like this if they question the groups actions but I hope collectively the group can still act with our own judgement. Really im just worried about an obvious shift in trc politics ive seen since the first rant that was posted by Baltimore and i hope it stops so we can continue to keep this thing moving and allow owners to control their teams unless we see collusion or obvious value discrepancies.
We are not here to run peoples teams for them only make sure they dont get taken advantage of or cheat.

I realize I am new to the league, but I didn't really feel like Seattle was taking advantage of me. Yeah, I would've lost draft capital for next year, but having the trade vetoed to "protect" me kind of ended up costing me the chance to draft the RB I was targeting. Not trying to ruffle feathers or continue the arguing that is going on, just felt like I should add my two cents as the second party to both trades in question.

I'm not "butt hurt". My main point is looking for consistency. And if I wanted to be childish I'd say something like "Kiss my 2017 Canton Dynasty Super Bowl ring, Sal. I crushed your sorry team to earn it, lol". And note, I would have even ended with the famous lol, lol.
