After having six instances of teams starting inactives this past week, including this year's first thrown game (Despite warning everyone to set their lineups for four consecutive weeks), it is clear that those parties have not had sufficient disincentive to do so. So, after the usual grumbling and discontent even boiled over into open criticism in the Discord, it is clear that the league has to take action to end this epidemic of 1/5 of the games being less or non-competitive due to one of the teams starting inactives. The league will use this thread as a sounding board for those who are not on Discord (And for those who are who want to restate your ideas here, or have any new ideas, for all to see), so that they may also play a part in the process of crafting a punishment for teams who start inactives, and either intentionally or unintentionally throw games. Please post your opinion/ideas below.

Create a committee to monitor.
First time offender - warning (although the whole league has been warned multiple times so there should be no more warnings)
2nd time - lose 5 spots in draft order 3rd time - lose 1st rd pick 4th - expulsion from league

I agree three or five person committee to monitor
Exception: - Last Minute status changes
Two potential ideas for penalties:
Picks 1st offense warning 2nd offense (2nd round pick current year) 3rd offense (1st round pick current year) 4th offense removal of owner and picks returned to new owner
Money 1st offense warning 2nd offense $5 for two years 3rd offense $10 first year than $5 second year 4th offense potential removal of owner and no penalties to new owner

I would like to see something like both teams suggested but combine the two
First Offense - Warning Second Offense - Lose 2nd round pick and $5 salary cap penalty for remainder of the season. Third Offense - Lose 1st round pick and $10 salary cap penalty for 2 seasons. Fourth Offense - Removal from league and penalties are rescinded.
The cap penalties would be permitted to put a team over the cap as well.

I just have a hard time rationalizing penalizing people for negligence because we're supposedly against tanking when we literally had someone intentionally tank last season and we didn't do anything about it. But that's just my 2 cents. It just seems inconsistent, hypocritical even.

I think if we were to penalize I would agree with the commanders solution
