What if we just did kickers by teams. So you own whatever kicker a team starts in a given week. That would alleviate many of the current issues while keeping the position. Thats not really fair to owners. The better NFL teams will have kickers put up more points so it's not fair to just assign them to a fantasy team. That’s not what he meant. He’s saying if you have Justin Tucker, then you would have Baltimore Kicker, then if he misses a game or whatever, doesn’t matter, you get points from whatever kicker plays for the Ravens that week. He’s not saying the kicker is based on you having to have the Raiders guy or me having the Jaguars guy.

It’s still not fair, nor a plausible solution.

How is it not fair?

I’m not saying to keep kickers or not, but NYJ’s solution eliminates what some people are upset with, and that’s not knowing who is going to start at kicker for a certain team from week to week. That wouldn’t happen because you would get the points from whatever team kicker you decide to roster. Instead of Younghoe Koo, you draft/sign ATL Kicker, which covers you if he misses a game, gets replaced whatever. That’s vastly different than what Hunter seemed to be saying, that kickers would be assigned to you based on your CDFL team. Under NYJ’s suggestion, you still choose the Kicker situation you want... it’s not assigned.

Would we have a K/ST draft if we go with NYJ's suggestion?

Would we have a K/ST draft if we go with NYJ's suggestion? This measure would have to fail (meaning the majority votes to keep kickers) then we could explore other options such as NYJ’s suggestion for how to potentially make the kicker position work better. We are only one vote away from eliminating kickers altogether though, so likely a moot point.
