Just a reminder that only approve or veto should be in the trade review. Any discussions or comments on the trade should be posted here

Here’s what I found in Merriam-Webster...
“DET-JAX Trade: Noun: definition - secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose. Synonym - collusion.”

Well I guess I feel the need to defend myself. If DET chooses to post the reasons for accepting, he can, but I will outline it as I understand our conversations. I am pushing in to try and win it this year, which should be obvious.
Everyone I sent back was cheaper and younger than the main pieces I am getting back, which is what I understand DET to be looking for. He got a rookie starting DE on a $1/4y contract, a 2nd year starting safety at $1/3y, a rookie 2nd round WR, who I just spent a 1st on, TB 2nd which is top 3-5 of the round, all for use in the future. Fitzgerald and Copeland were included both for cap reasons, and so Christian would have those guys to start during the playoffs as well.
My understanding is he wasn’t planning to re-sign Collins, who is on a 1y deal, he prefers Phillips to Ionniadas moving forward, and as I said, he expressed wanting to build for the future. Lockett is also more expensive than Isabella, and on a shorter contract. Obviously he is more proven, but Christian likes Isabella and feels he is someone to build around moving forward, with some of the younger pieces he has like Josh Jacobs, Kyle Allen, Vander Esch, etc.
There have been many more lopsided deals approved in the league, so not sure why this one is an issue.
For the goals of both teams moving forward, I think that this makes sense more than some others that I’ve seen. I have approved each trade since I’ve been on the TRC, because I feel like it’s is a big leap to claim collusion, and don’t appreciate that accusation. I believe in letting guys run their teams as they see fit, especially when there are 2 teams that have experience in the league, and know what they are doing, like Christian has proven, and I think I have proven.
Obviously I’ll respect however guys decide to vote, as those are the rules we have set up, but as I said, really don’t appreciate the accusations that I am doing something underhanded or dishonest.

I’m sorry but DET is not an idiot. Landon Collins is 25 years old and one of the best safeties of his generation. He was going to resign him.

I legit wasn’t. You can think whatever you want, but this is a long term plan for me that was calculated. I’m not going to explain it because honestly, I don’t really care to.
