PIT just outright ripped him off. NYJ didn’t have the luxury of waiting around for a dumb owner to come along so that he could rip him off too. Those thing don’t just happen everyday which is why you had to reach back a year to find an example. If you’re the one shopping a player you’re probably going to get equal or less value. If someone approaches you then you’re gonna get equal or more value.

A few of those team's previous managers were pretty bad at making trades too. So it's not like he's never had an opportunity at trying to take advantage of a new owner. The real question is if he even tried offering him to anyone before his offseason trade block? Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he did. And yes, PIT outright ripped him off in that trade. But he didn't do it to someone who was newer to the league. He did it to CLE, who's been in the league for quite some time. I woudn't of agreed with that trade at the time, but at least the picks disguised the shittiness of the trade. That's why there was no vetoes against it. I would've voiced my opposition in that trade as well. My only point is that he's undervaluing what he could get for Jeffery. But I don't care really. Why should the TRC make this the time that they care about protecting the team managers? If he wants to make the trade, so be it. I don't agree, but my opinion really doesn't matter anyways. |

How are missed opportunities relevant at all here? All that matters is what he could get for Alshon the day he traded him. A month ago he posted a trade block with alshon listed stating that he was available for a discount and it took him a whole month to unload him. Did you PM NYJ and make him an offer in that time? Idk how you can say the guy didn’t try.
This happens all the time. People hold onto a player too long and then they miss their chance to get good value and end up making a desperation trade or just outright cutting the guy. PIT and I are friends and I’ve been imploring him to dump gronk for at least two years but he couldn’t get the value he wanted and now gronk retired and he gets nothing. Why aren’t you calling PIT out for poor roster management? This stuff happens all the time.
NYJ was under the gun because of the extension deadline and he got what he could get at the time.

I am all for everyone entitled to their own opinion and I do think this is a decent argument.
However, I will not stand for using special education as an insult, that is where I draw the line. I am pretty sure that you can get your argument across without using these insults.
