For the fourth-consecutive week, Cecil eclipsed the 200-point mark, in what has so far been the greatest such run in league history (As previous to this season, no team had ever posted even back-to-back 200-point games). That increase in scoring has extended to the rest of the league as well, with six such instances already this season (Accounting for just under a third of all 200-point games in the nine-year recorded history of this league). As such, Seattle stays atop the rankings, and another 200-point scorer from this season, Andrew, keeps his Eagles in 2nd, after fending off Cincinnati with a phenomenal defensive performance, and Chris getting the way of his own team’s success (If he started either active defensive player he had on his bench instead of a 0 and 1.2, he would’ve come away victorious). Jacksonville is jumped by Buffalo, despite winning and staying undefeated, but on body of work, Sal’s team has been more consistent. Jordan is probably lucky to stay among that group, and will see if he can retain his unblemished record against Minnesota this week, which re-enters the top-5 after a near-200-point effort of his own.
The next group of 5 includes the aforementioned Cincinnati, Detroit, which lost an agonizingly-close game to Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, which barely fended off the New York Giants in another disappointing result from Garrett’s squad, Trey’s Chargers, who just won the battle of the Treys trophy for defeating his friend and same-named GM of the Rams, and Carolina, the best 2-2 team in the league by far, fresh off a 70-point drubbing of the Dolphins.
The middle of the league saw as much movement as ever, with New Orleans dropping four slots after an absolutely putrid result, Oakland sliding down one, the Jets climbing three after one of the closest margin of victory games in league history, Houston dropping one spot, Tampa Bay outperforming expectations and rising five spots, as well as Baltimore and Arizona each climbing three spots or more, and Cleveland and Atlanta each dropping down (The Falcons as a result of their point totals relative to the rest of the league), the lowest three-win team in the league.
Indy opens the final group after a substantial drop, followed by Miami, and Dallas, jumping four spots after their first recorded win. Denver, the New York Giants, and the Rams aren’t punished too heavily for their efforts. The remainder of the teams, including Green Bay at 2-2, profile like 0-4 teams, and are hard to separate on a weekly basis. These rankings were based on the Week 3 Power Rankings and the point totals of Week 4/YTD results. Enjoy, and I’ll see you in the Inactives Report so that some of you near the bottom can see how to win games (Pro Tip: Did you know that you can set your lineup on Fantrax? It’s easy. Simply go to your team’s roster page, click the desired player’s position, and then follow the on-screen prompts and hit submit, and…Congratulations! You have set your lineup!).
