Hey guys. Today is a bittersweet day, as we're officially opening the new league for business and gradually saying goodbye to the old one. While I wish the need for this league didn't exist, a move from the previous league was necessitated when JAX continued to threaten the existence of the NFFL, as you will see below, as he has done to myself and other LMs quite often over the last calendar year. Here is the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak, in a message I received from him a little less than 2 weeks ago:
I want to make it clear from the get-go that just because I created this ProBoard, I have NO ownership of it whatsoever. The league is OURS, not any one person's, regardless of whether or not that person invested time in moving the league over. That does not constitute belonging. But just in case I were to have a crazy episode the like of Mike or JAX, or something were to happen to me, I will be giving the other LMs the password for my profile so that they have access to it. I promise to never hold the league hostage for any reason. It's not for me, or anyone, to do. That means, to the GMs of the NFFL and for a great many of us, original GMs of the MFL as well, that this should be our FINAL move. Enjoy it. We now have the league of our own that we thought we had in the NFFL.
While GMs continue to trickle in, we will be open for business, but we will continue to honor moves made in the NFFL, especially UFA Draft picks (as we're in the 2nd Round at this juncture), until our final move over. The reasoning for this is three-fold:
1. We want to allow ample time for GMs to get word of the new league and move their account over.
2. (Related to #1) We want to prevent Jacksonville from pulling the plug preemptively and blocking GMs from getting word about/making the move to the new league.
3. We realize that, as we LMs have invested a great deal of time in the league, you probably have as well, and we want to give you every opportunity to screenshot, copy files or what have you to retain the important pieces of your time in the NFFL
So please take your time doing so, but realize that when we get everyone we intend to bring over in, we're a full go and will be doing everything from this side. No worries, we will announce when we're ready to make this move. In the mean time, continue to make your picks/trades on the NFFL side if you wish, after all, it would probably help to not raise JAX's suspicions, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO NOT JEOPARDIZE OUR MOVE BY TELLING HIM OR TIPPING HIM OFF IN ANY WAY!
As for the rules section, I know it is a mess right now, but believe it or not, that was exactly the state it was in on the NFFL pages, as I simply performed a direct copy. The Rules Committee, which will finally be allowed to do its job, will take on the task of correcting the errors in those boards and removing superfluous information and clutter as well once we're ready to go, but if you see any errors, please let us know in case we didn't catch them and mark them to be fixed.
Thank you again for migrating your account over to this site, and we will look forward to a long and prosperous time in this league together.

Explain how you discussed this with "the LMs" if I was completely unaware until now.

After discussing it with the LMs, we have decided that should Aaron fail to log on and make his pick by the time he goes off the clock, he will be replaced as Dallas' GM. So if you know him or have his contact information and want him to stay in the league (as he has not responded to handfuls of PMs sent to him in the last few months), please contact him ASAP to articulate that message to him.
Aaron has been with us since near the very beginning of the MFL, and we appreciate his effort and time in this league, especially his out-of-nowhere and near-division winning 9-win campaign in 2014 after nearly completely spacing on the off-season. But, he did not return with the same amount of fervor this past season as he did the year before after skipping out on most of the off-season, and now is in danger of showing back up with a bare bones roster if we allow him to continue (should he not log on and make/trade his picks). And while it is our absolute stated preference to keep any GM in this league when it is possible to do so, especially one as veteran as Aaron, we have a responsibility to every team not to allow it to be run into the ground so that it is at least somewhat enticing for a future replacement GM. We have also had a hard time replacing GMs in the past few months, but still feel it is the correct move if he misses his pick.
Many of you have contacted me about potential trades for DAL, and the league is deciding who will run him team in the interim. When we get that squared away, assuming he doesn't log on, we'll announce that. In the mean time, if you know anyone who would be a replacement for either DAL or the other 3 league-run teams right now (GB, OAK, SF) PLEASE let us know or simply have them join and contact us.
Thank you all.

I was mostly just talking about those admins who process our rosters and those who have run teams for us in the past. Did you have a different opinion on what to do with DAL? And/or would you like to be considered to run a team for the league?

As far as running a team, I'm indifferent, we've discussed that in the past. I believe it was NYG that I specifically said I would have if we couldn't find anyone.
My opinion is not necessarily different on Dallas. However, as we also previously discussed, I made this thing. I managed it for a considerable time on my own (not by my choosing), and as you saw first-hand, I have tried at the VERY least multiple times to get certain things done and had the same lack of response prompt me to say "fuck it".
Furthermore, I dealt with Seattle asking me to give X, Y and Z owners Admin powers when he was willing to be in charge by default against my better judgment, now that he isn't even that. I don't know if I can find a better way to put what I'm thinking than to say that I did not make this thing when he even opted not to just to have him and a bunch of random people selected by someone who made neither the Proboard nor Fantrax, and is not "in charge" decide everything without myself so much as being consulted. If the same people who could not find the time to work with me before are going to be consulted, basically I am too, or I'm going to determine who I feel needs to have Admin powers. Bare in mind, I feel that not threatening to blow the whole thing up is me "being nice" about it. Also, not going to take away, for example, your Admin powers or those I truly feel have done good jobs, but I've had disagreements with how some have, so, there would be an evaluation.

I'm also unlikely to take into account the way the TRC has voted. While I do feel like some of them tend to vote for lack of a better term stupid, they're entitled to their stupid opinion as much as anyone else here would be. Frequency of voting and what not, that would be another story.
