I guess I do not get it. Chris posts this long statement how he should of taken Hooper with the 4th pick in the 2nd rd last year and that Cecil states this guy is a player in a high powered offense. This same guy scored a blistering 54 points last year for a 3.9 weekly average. So with all that taken into consideration after that great year he is now worth a 1st & 2nd rd pick. So the top team in the league who has been to the finals numerous times who continues to be stacked with draft picks each year trades a 54 point TE for a 1st & 2nd rd draft pick. The rich get richer and the TRC, I am sorry should of not approved this trade. I could see a 1st rd pick (barely), but a 1st & 2nd, pretty bad. Sorry Chris this was a poor trade and you just helped Cecil be in a good spot for next year's draft after he killed it in the draft this year after winning it all last year. Come on guys just because these guys run the league does not mean their trades can not be vetoed. Let's stop rubber stamping trades because these guys run the league and can not make a bad trade. Times yours.

I don't disagree that I overpaid on production, but on potential, I think I did okay. It's fair for anyone to knock it, certainly, but I was willing to pick him 2.4 last year (and he did go 2.5). With where I plan to be this year, granted with a QB that has so far eluded me, I don't think that would be too far off of 2.4, so we're likely talking a late 1st and late 2nd. Granted that's not the most scientific of means to analyze it, and I lost a year of control, but overall, I'm comfortable with overpaying for him as opposed to significantly overpaying (in my determination) in the four other deals I was considering moving my picks for.

He won't be a 54 pt TE this coming year. He is now the starter and most people know that TE takes a year of adjusting. He was a rookie stuck behind tamme. Tamme is gone, he is no longer a rookie and he finished the season as the target leader in the Super Bowl for atl. He has a lot of upside. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean that others feel the same as you. I posted him for trade just before finalizing the deal with Chris and got interest from multiple teams. I finished the deal with Chris even before finishing talks with another team because Chris and I have been talking him for a long time. The Trc is not rubber stamping this one just because you don't agree with Hooper's upside. The way you valued him above says it all. If you look at it that way then you should send me B Perriman for a 2nd or 3rd since he hasn't done crap in two years. And if you trade him for more than that the Trc should veto it?

The way i look at it those picks are a year out . Guys will give a future 1st for an early 2nd this year and a future 2nd for a 3rd . Is hooper worth a 2nd and a 3rd? Definity.

So last year he was worth a 2nd and this year he is worth a 1st & 2nd with what F-ing logic. None except Chris wanted him bad. He had the same potential as last year except he had the most targets in the SB because NE shut down the other WRs so he was the only option. On the Perriman thing I would never ask for a 1st and 2nd for him as he has done nothing for 2 yrs, but if you want to give a 1st and 2nd (not yours) I might consider it, but if I was on the TRC I would veto it, but I am not as I think most trades are one sided and only speak up when one looks pretty bad. This league will continue to move forward with bad trades not being vetoed as we do not want to stop teams from being active and they should know how to run their teams. You think none of your trades should be vetoed as you always feel they are fair, but they are not alot of times, but teams will continue to over pay for your players. You are smart and you are good at running your team, but most teams have come and gone with you taking advantage of them.
TRC WAKE UP!!

Well please call out all trades. Don't stop at this one. You have made it very personal in both your posts. Your tone and statements sound as if you want the Trc to pay special attention to me, and that is total chickenshit.

No I want the TRC to look at all trades that look bad and I think this one was lopsided. Matter of fact the one trade they vetoed I really did not think it was that lopsided, but you complained and probably made them a little gun shy on future trades. You think this is personneal, if that is the case I would never trade with you , but I have. I have called out other trades in the past and voiced my opinion and that is what it is an opinion. My tone is usually harsh that is why I almost got thrown out of this league in it's 1st yr 7 years ago. You do a good job of getting what you want in trades, which means you are a great GM and I would say the best in this league, but I will continue to call out trades I think are lopsided. I usually do not have time to look at trades, but right now I do and this one was pretty bad.

No one is gun shy. They are all big boys and will make up their own mind on things.

I think we all almost got kicked out of the league by Mike at one point. In fact, I did, and that's why I'm the GM of the Bengals and not the Redskins, and a big reason why I'm 10 games sub-.500 in my time in these leagues. Haha. That said, I understood the point you were trying to make Goose, and you're right, I have known you to always speak your mind on things you think are unfair. So I'm not worried about you singling anyone out. I just disagreed in this instance that it's as bad as it looks now. But, I could totally be wrong and regret the deal/chasing him. And you're right, Cecil is good about getting what he wants, and is probably the best GM in the league. But, I think I have demonstrated enough good will to let me run my team the way I see fit, even if that's stupidly (see the sub-.500 comment above) in the eyes of others. I can handle myself, and I know that I may not be exactly the GM(s) you're speaking of, but I think if they're in the league and we're going to trust them to run their teams, we have to do so, unless as Matthew Berry says, we can prove collusion, or as I would add for a league like this, that GM makes it apparent in a deal that it will significantly harm their team/state of the league and make it harder to replace them/get them back to a competitive level when we have to inevitably find a new owner. But you're right, you said your piece, I said mine, and Cecil said his. So I think we're all good here and can put it to bed. Thank you for expressing your opinions on the matter.
