I don't see the justification for a veto on my trade with NYJ. We were both bottom third first rounders last year. There is no reason to believe that NYJ won't be again, or my team for that matter. NYJ is set up well to improve his roster from last year as well, having three first rounders at his disposal. He has been active since joining and has been working to improve his roster. I am moving him up in the first and if there is any gain to me in doing this I will need to wait an entire year to see it. Value today in any move up is worth more than a possible future gain one year from now. No one can accurately say with 100% confidence that his pick will be worth more than my pick next year and by how much. For all we know he can go further in the playoffs than me next year and his pick would be worth more than mine. This should pass as they we were both playoff teams last year and both bottom third first rounders, NYJ has ammo to improve, and no one knows who will go further in playoffs next year.

Sound like valid points.

I want to give you my reasoning behind my vote and I'm glad you made this thread instead of in the trade review board. I vetoed it because NYJ will really only be gaining 2 spots in the draft which I realize is a gain. However, I don't think anyone can argue that looking at NYJ roster and the SEA roster that SEA stands to have a much better season therefore leading to a deeper draft pick, but to your point no one can say 100% on that. I see you points made above and it is hard to argue some of them but in my opinion the risk to lose a much better draft pick next year for NYJ is too high with this to only gain 2 spots this year.. If the deal was including one of your higher 1st round picks this year then it might get a little closer to me in approving. Again this is entirely my opinion which does not make it necessarily right but I thought that you deserved at least some reasoning to my vote since you made some points on here.

Here's all you need to know. SEA was #1 in scoring last year, NYJ was #21. NYJ got the benefit of an absolute cake schedule. It's more likely that his pick is in the top 10 next year than the bottom 10 and SEA obviously knows this or else he wouldn't be doing this trade. Good job by the TRC on this one.
