Hey guys (and now girl, as we have our first female in the league since the MFL). I know that it's the end of the season and a little bit of a lull in activity for us, but we need to go ahead and determine if some of those GMs who are on the fringes of continuing plan to stay or give it up. Especially those who did not set lineups down the stretch. To my recollection, those teams are CHI (though I believe he explained his predicament what with being in the hospital), NE, OAK, SF, TB and TEN. I know that three of those guys are relatively new, but the other three have been here for a while. That's reason #1 why we need to ascertain if they're still in this or thinking about hanging it up. Also, #2, I have three replacement GMs ready to go and licking their chops from the moment we say go, and they've been sitting on ice for the last month-plus. So we want to go ahead and get them in/fill those openings if there are openings to be had. If you know any of these GMs listed above, and especially if you were the sponsor that brought them into the league for all intents and purposes, please reach out to them to confirm if they plan on sticking with us for 2017. Thanks again.

That's what I said, I feel like you obviously cleared up why you didn't set your lineups that week. Anyway, the other guys I'm not so sure about. I know NE passed along a message to me through JR that he WAS setting his lineup, when in fact he had inactive players in his lineup with active players on the bench for at least three consecutive weeks at the time. And Kirk actually threw a game whether on purpose or unintentionally as I suspect. So those two and the others are question marks for me.

In fact, going back to this thread, NE did not set his lineup from Week 5 on. So unless there's some compelling reason, I don't know why it would make sense to keep him around, even with his history considered.

Kirk has decided to step down as the TEN owner. Thanks for everything Kirk and we were glad to have you the last three years!

I say give them all the axe, especially if you have owners wanting to join. Really no reason why someone can't log-in in 2-3 months. Just shows you they aren't interested anymore

I agree lets replace them. If someone does not sign on in a month or more they need to be replaced except during the off season if nothing is going on which is usually between the rookie draft and the start of the season.
We need to state when the FA Draft will take place and when the rookie draft will take place so that we have specific time periods that everyone should know they need to be on. Also, passing on a Rookie draft pick will not be tolerated. If they do not want to pick, trade it for a player or the following year's draft pick.
Which brings us to next year's (2018) Rookie Draft Picks. Since we are opening up trading I think we need to add the 2018 Rookie draft picks to the rosters.
Looks like last year the FA draft was at the end of March and the Rookie draft was the beginning of May. That being said that means we have 2 1/2 months of down time where someone may not sign on.
I would state that everyone should at least sign on once a month during Jan - Mar 15. If someone does not sign on during that time period we may want to replace them. The old MFL Mike wanted everyone to sign on once every two weeks and if they did not he would ask if they are still interested. If got no response he would look for a replacement. That is a little harsh so once a month should be good enough.
I know at times it is tough to find new owners especially with teams that are in bad shape, but if someone has lost interest there is no reason to keep them around.
That is my 2 cents worth on this subject.

Glad you are doing better Charlie! I didn't mean you when I said "give them all the axe, I meant the other 4 owners.

I believe there was a question as to whether or not you were setting your lineups Mike. But okay. Sounds good. FWIW, Jordan (JAX) just told me that Christian (OAK) is out.

We have a replacement for Christian. His name is Craig, and he should be joining in the next few days.

Mett says that Darryl is still in. If so he needs to get on and get active pronto. If not, we'll have to replace him.

We still have a couple GMs (SF, JAX) who have not logged on in a while. The way I see it, if it gets close to the deadline for re-signing and these GMs do not make an effort to resign some of their players then they should be replaced.

I have reached out to SF (Daryl) and have not heard back from him nor has he logged on since Nov. Therefore, I am ok with searching for a replacement GM for him.
