That was the worst officiating I've ever seen. What exactly does it mean to "ruff the kicker?"

Just seeing this now. Do you still think it's roughing the kicker now that it's been a couple of days?

He touched the ball first (see picture) before he hit the kicker. If you touch the ball 1st you can make contact with the kicker, so the contact is irrelevant. It's a live play until the whistle is blown and the whistle never blew until after the play was over, which is stupid. I find it interesting that he knows the rules more then the refs and blandino. I also find it funny that the kicker was on the ground in pain and grabbing the wrong leg.. that's a bad acting job if you ask me.. your eyes tell you one thing and the rules don't match what your eyes see is the way I see this.

Even the NFL head ref Blandino said if should've been roughing the kicker or some sort of personal foul. Not saying it would be changed the outcome of the game as it would of likely resulted in OT.
Mainly this is just a horrible call by the refs.,,if I didn't know better I'd of said the replacements are back

I heard whistles. Was I the only one? That was my gripe, I heard nothing but whistles on the broadcast.

I was saying I was pretty sure I heard them BEFORE the kick attempt, like as soon as Sherman jumped off. But I may have been mistaken. Anyway, I'm pro-Seahawks with the cast of players they have right now (though I also like a couple of the Bills) so it's not like I have a bent against them, but I thought that because I heard the whistles that if I was correct, that definitely should have been a roughing penalty.

Mike Pereira, former Vice President of Officiating and current Fox Rules Analyst does not feel that Sherman committed a foul beyond being offsides.

Yeah. Looks like I misheard and imagined the whistles.

He hit ball first so he did nothing wrong. The refs messed up that whole sequence of events in a lot of ways though.
