Hello all. As you probably know by now, Steve (DEN) and I make a yearly pilgrimage to Mobile for the Senior Bowl. This year, however, Steve will not be able to make it. If any of you are interested, k should be able to handle the hotel myself, and will be either driving or flying down. Let me know if you’d be interested in taking this trip, as I need to apply for credentials in your name and know what type of hotel room to book.
Also, a love of seafood isn’t technically required, but we are going to be hanging out with NFL muckity mucks, and they generally congregate in Mobile’s seafood establishments. Also, The Senior Bowl serves some seafood dishes to its credentialed members—and Mobile has some of the best seafood in the US, so...probably best if you like seafood. Also, if you like Reece’s cups, you can have as many as you want free of charge.
The dates involved will be 1/20 (Departing Virginia)-1/24 (Leaving Mobile). If you’re wondering, these dates and credentials do not include the game itself (1/25), though the game is considered less important for teams, and most have left the day before the game. Additionally, while I once applied and received credentials to attend the game, we were purged from the list after Senior Bowl administrators were forced to whittle down the list of credentialed attendees due to the size of the press box. I expect that to be the same this year, as it has been every year that I've attended. Obviously if you’re flying, however, you can arrive and depart on your schedule, and can purchase tickets to the game if you wish to stay.
