COPY AND PASTE ALERT
I figured I would type this once and quickly paste to another leagues. Should you read this in one of our leagues we share, my post will be the same.
These last three weeks since I’ve signed on have been a rollercoaster.
If you have been around long enough, I always ‘disappear’ with my wife Susan the last week of Oct and first week of Nov. We were married on Halloween 2K and always call that time our HALLOWEENIVERSARY.
Normally, I post a reminder of my spotty visits to the League Site regarding those two weeks. This year I didn’t. For that, I apologize. I have tried to log on and have my best players out on the field/court/rink prior to game time.
Going into this HALLOWEENIVERSARY, Susan was down in the dumps (more on being low in a moment) as hip replacement would shortly follow. These last few months have taken a toll on her hip, not to mention back and knees.
Susan cancelled her surgery - when we returned home, we found her adult (42) son unresponsive. In what we assumed then and later confirmed; he attempted susicide via both his prescription and over the counter meds. Throw in some street drugs he had in his system, he was close to completing the attempt.
Being in a volunteer EMS system, it was hard, well continues to be hard for Susan as she unterstands both his body system failures and long term healing he faces body and mind.
As you can see, her son was at a place so bad, he wanted to end it. He is in the early stages of separation/divorce and has been living with us for a couple months. Susan has questioned herself as to what part she could have either saw coming or was to blame. I have assured her that no blame or shame should way her down.
Anyway, he is still in ICU after one week. Things are looking better, and labs are improved. With that I head back to his room and continue to offer my support to everyone.
Thanks all, JR

Take your time and take care JR. There are more important things in your life than fantasy football, and even more so now. My best wishes for him, your wife, and yourself.

I’m back!
Thanks everyone for your support and prayers. D spent almost two weeks in ICU fighting. Hopefully, he will heal both in body and mind. He was unresponsive for the first week then in and out. His liver and kidneys took a beating. Susan is doing as well as expected. He was a champ trying to hide her pain she felt in her hip and in her heart. I understand why she postponed her surgery, she had to be beside her son. Good/Bad news - she has a new appointment, six weeks out. Both Susan and her son will become better and stronger as time goes.
As for the CDFL, you guys were my first Dynasty League, by my franchise record, looks like I’m a cellar dweller all the way. Jumping on and off Fantrax during all of this, there have been some great games played. For the way the season went, and the way you guys are off the field I thank You!
