Something we talked about openly for the first time this year was the ability to trade UFA Draft Picks instead of simply only being able to trade the player once they were drafted. I don't really have a dog in this fight, but also don't know why we never allowed this in the past (I know Mike had some reason, but can't remember what it was). So I think it's something that at least merits consideration for next year, and I'm hoping to get some discussion on it so that we can post something about it in Suggestions right after the end of the season, as it will take a little more time to do if it should pass, and therefore, we'll want to have it conceptually sound before trying to implement it. So anyway, discuss it. Let me know about your concerns, the plaudits of doing it perhaps, ideas you have to make it happen/better, or anything else I'm not thinking of. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday guys.

I see no reason to not allow it . Seems like a pointless rule

The rule never made sense to me. I don't see why we can't trade them.

I agree we should be able to trade them just like the rookie picks. It also makes things a lot easier.

I like the idea of trading them as well. But it kinda serves as a safty net to GMs who trade all there picks and runs there team to the ground and leaves the league. Then we get a new GM who has to use FA when it opens and trading if he has anything good.
What ever. I do like the idea of trading those picks away.

I think to combat that just add the picks after each season and not do future picks

I actually don't think these picks should be available to trade until after the season.

I think few weeks before the UFA Draft. Add those picks to the roster.

They aren't ever made available until just before the draft anyway. I don't think anyone is suggesting we release them any sooner than this.

Yeah, this was not saying that. Just that we might release the UFA picks so that people can trade them instead of holding up the process and waiting to trade the player once they're picked.
